Abandoned Joy |
|
|
|
Living on a dirt road just outside the city,
We moved here without a single pet,
Only to find animals left here without pity,
By those from town without regret,
These cast-aways find their way home,
And often we find them on our doorstep,
So we feed the ones who are left alone,
And several we have loved and kept,
Now with three dogs and two cats,
Our house is filled with joy and love,
But no more room do we have,
While more unloved pets show up,
We try our best to find them a home,
But this sad story doesn't seem to end,
For more and more seem to come,
And we collect and care for them,
And often we pack them all up,
Carry them to store parking lots,
And give away our kittens and pups,
To loving families and excited tots.

and, my Lord... Observations in scales, of mortal plight, once
we chance, accord... Imagination pales, and yet just might, share a

happenstance, galore!
